01/01/07 Pre-Revolutionary Push-back Round-up

The Captain’s Journal offers some advice for our would-be masters HERE:

“If it goes to the point of forcible implementation of the proposed legislation, it will be awful, bloody, violent and extreme. Right now we don’t know for certain what will happen in Washington. But depending upon that outcome, what will happen all across America has been written. 1.6 billion rounds of handgun ammunition won’t be nearly enough for the government.”

“You’ve been warned.”

Mike Hendrix at Cold Fury, has a round-up HERE:

“They are indeed. Our only possible response, as one of the very Leftist swine Bob is talking about said not long ago, in his inimitably stupid, semi-literate, fumble-tongued style: Resist we much.”

“Wouldn’t it be just funny as all hell if that became a catch-phrase for the new American Resistance?”

Bob Owens at his blog is channeling his inner Patrick Henry HERE:

“I can chart the path forward for no other man, but I will contest to their last breaths the desires of petty tyrants and their co-conspirators if they cross this red line that determines that the soap box, ballot box, and jury box have failed, and that the cartridge box is our last resort.”

“I will go to my death if this time comes to pass, orphaning and widowing those I hold most dear. For that I am truly regretful, just as I regret the lives I must attempt to cut short so that my children will breathe free. I know that in my sights will be another mother’s son or daughter, likely with children of their own. But they will have made their choice of whom to serve, and I have made mine.”

“There is no desire for bloodshed in my heart, but if they want a war, let it begin here.”

Matt Bracken, at the Western Rifle Shooters Association has a “memo” for the Gestapo HERE:

“Dear Mr. Security Agent,”

“Federal, state, or local. You, the man or woman with the badge, the sworn LEO or FLEA and those who inhabit the many law enforcement niches in between and on all sides. This essay is “directed to you, because in the end, how this turmoil about gun control turns out will depend largely upon your decisions and actions over the coming months and years.”

“I sincerely wish that members of Congress—who may soon be voting on new gun control measures—would read this essay, but I realize that’s a pipe dream, considering the impenetrable bubbles around those exalted entities. So I’ll settle for you, Mr. (or Ms.) Security Agent, since you already gobble up everything on the internet, and I don’t have to seek you out.”
