Shadowblades are Midgard's assassin. They lurk invisibly in the shadows waiting for hapless prey to move into range, and then strike, with a critical style line and poisons Shadowblades quickly dispatch their victim, and they fade again into the darkness. However, Shadowblades offer very little to a group beyond scouting, and will find themselves soloing through most of PvE and RvR. Recent changes to shadowblades have given them the ability to drop caltrops to dismount enemy riders, use their weapons sideways to deal blunt damage, and granted them a limited immunity to the poisons of other assassins, which has greatly improved the overall performance of the class.
