Important Note: This information was compiled and originally hosted by the creators of the Vision of Sages (VoS) Website. Due to the age of Trials of Atlantis, and the fact that the most recent post on the VoS web forums is nearly 3 years old, we are reprinting the Trials of Atlantis information from their website so that it does not become lost - like the artifacts they have done such an excellent job leading us to for the past several years.

Did the triton announcer's Silver Horn trial (Coral Crumble) in my futile search for an artifact instrument.....10th wave is one champion that destroys the horn when you kill him and it turns into Bracer of Zo'arkat (artifact). 10 waves of mobs. First 9 waves are set of 6 chamions that gain levels from blue->high purple per wave. 5 min between waves. Last guy is cake, just a big named champion that drops the bracer and 3 keys to chests that give some decent stuff. Artifact is for healers and those trained in the focus of power. Nov 19

Due to player feedback, the story encounter, "The Silver Horn", has had a new function added to it. This function is for groups not wanting to wait for the full time to expire in between tiers of fighters. Players now have the ability to walk up to the Triton Announcer and /say ready. This will send out the next tier of fighters a few seconds later.

I tried it with around 3 groups of people... the thing is it takes so long right now it's hard to keep people focused. By the time the 8th wave came, we weren't really paying attention until it was too late.
For the record, from 7th or 8th wave on, the mobs cannot be mezzed or rooted. On the 8th wave, there 1 or 2 of the mobs are healers. I think our downfall was we didn't focus on the healers first.
Yes I'm sure it can be done with 2 decent groups as long as they are paying attention. After 1.68 goes live this encounter will be alot easier as you don't have to wait 5 minutes after each wave. Jan 30

Tips:
Just follow the bone arches behind the announcer to a clearing, that is apparently the arena. The announcer said something to me about initiating quickly or it will be forfeit. May you gotta aggro quickly to make the encounter trigger.
- Skalathrax Skeksis
Follow the flashing lights through the arches (50 feet away perhaps) and thats your arena.
Once you activate this (after lots of talking to the Announcer) you will have no doubt that you activated the quest. Dec 31

try 6 purps+++ on the 9th wave. took 3g.
10th wave is just 1 named boss. Cake after wave 9. Nov 18

The combined scrolls read:
##The An Apprentice's Works reads, "The Silver Horn is beautiful. It's made of the strangest and most wonderful medals. We have ten guards around it, for rumors of the Dancing Thief having his or her eyes on the Silver Horn have made the arbiters nervous. Though I secretly wonder if Arbiter Achaius has put the guards there for fear I shall play some other prank. Not likely, after what he did to me after I found it a good idea to put each of the ten bracers on the ten statues out in the Planes."
##The An Apprentice's Works reads, "Arbiter Achaius has seen me coveting, as he called it, the Silver Horn, and now I am to research it. I do not enjoy research. Perhaps that is why he is so quick to assign me to that task. The Silver Horn is just a ceremonial piece. I see no real reason why I should research such a trivial thing. Yes it is beautiful, but it's only real curiosity is the materials used in making it, and the magic they say was used was an ancient primitive magic not known to any of us today. I am not sure I believe that. How could there be a magic, no matter how primitive or base, that our scholars can't unravel? It is probably some primitive tribal magic tied in to some ancient god that no longer even exists except as a distant memory in some old forgotten ritual."
##The An Apprentice's Works reads, "Well they blew on the Silver Horn this morning. All of the ten kingdoms would have heard it. Arbiter Achaius is furious. The horn wasn't supposed to be used! Today was a rehearsal of the ceremony and it is going to be a hard task to explain that all is well and there is no reason for alarm! If the horn is blown when there is no ceremony or event being heralded, it's an indication that something is gone wrong, and a call for aid to the Planes. I see the ships from the Atlantean fleet approaching now! Ah what a mess today will be!"
