Kalare's Necklace: Notos /loc 32600 9500
I thought that people might be interested in seeing what exactly happens when you go after this artifact. I thought that it was really cool being turned into a statue, and by far the easiest artifact to get. You start out by fighting the Warrior of Stone. He takes a while to kill, but isn’t hard at all since he doesn’t fight back. After killing him, don’t loot until you are ready to run. After looting, you get transformed into a statue. If you go near other statues, the start attacking you and won’t stop until you either kill them or make it to the shore on the island. As a druid, I hit the shore with ½ life (that was taking my time to take screenshots), and used no insta heals, etc. The necklace in your inventory will turn into an artifact when you hit the shore and get the message: “You finally feel the curse begin to fade, and you feel that you will soon be back to your normal self. The stone around the necklace crumbles, leaving behind a brilliant gold chain.” About 10 seconds later, you go back to non statue form. Nov 20

Kalare's Necklace is as simple as this - SoS > Statue transformation, simply grab the necklace and use Speed of Sound ( minstrel RA ) and just run to the water Dec 18

Tips:
I killed the mob for Kalare's Necklace at 12:54 AM and it respawned at 3:30 AM, seems the respawn timer is lowered to about 2.5hrs. May 9 2004

I went to see if Kalare's was up the other day as I needed the encounter for my 45 friar. My friend played my friar and I was on my 50 necro. I arrived just in time to see another necro finish off the named statue and drop the stone encased necklace but then he took off. My friar was still in haven which gave the other guy plenty of time to get back to finish the encounter but after much waiting and with nothing else to do, we tried to pick up the necklace.
I had tried to do it in shade form with the necro and it gave me spam that said "Devas is unable to pick up the stone encased necklace with his death-like hands!" Although I couldnt pick up the necklace in shade form, it did move the loot bag over my shade....... so I began moving it to the waters edge! By the time my friend arrived with my friar, I had already gotten the bag to the water. We grouped up, he picked up the bag and transformed into a statue, and that was it! He was already in the water when he picked it up so we both instantly got credit for the encounter and Acaitlan the friar received the artifact. I may do it again just to provide screenshots but at this point I have none. If you need the encounter and want to do it effortlessly, I guarentee this is a full-proof method. There is a statement on the encounter for this that it is only up when the harpies are gone.
This is false, I was there last night and did the encounter with my 50 suppression runnie solo. Lots of harpies, and a warrior of Stone as well.
I spent a lot of time waiting for the harpies to disappear and finally did some exploring and there he was. Apr 13 2004
I have a 48 friar and I soloed Kalare's Necklace encounter. The Warrior of Stone was yellow con and it took a while as I didn't hit for more than 1% of his life each time. I don't know if it was luck but after I grabbed the necklace I ran straight for the shore and was able to escape without any statues chasing me or getting hit even once. Aggro range on the statues must not be very wide since I was able to do this very easily. I don't know if this would help or not but I figured I would let you know as any information is better than no information. Mar 25 2004

Warning: If your a class which uses a pet, dont let the pet get the killing blow on the main statue. Although you will turn to stone, complete the quest and get the necklace, you wont be able to turn it in. The game says you have not earned the artifact and you must take part in the killing. Nov 15
