Important Note: This information was compiled and originally hosted by the creators of the Vision of Sages (VoS) Website. Due to the age of Trials of Atlantis, and the fact that the most recent post on the VoS web forums is nearly 3 years old, we are reprinting the Trials of Atlantis information from their website so that it does not become lost - like the artifacts they have done such an excellent job leading us to for the past several years.

The Level 10 charge will not go over your buff cap, so no, it will not raise your stats but it will still lower them after the 20 seconds is up. Jan 12

The Level 10 charge is useful if your in a bind and have no buffs not if your running fully buffed just depends on how you use it. Jan 12

Malice Axe Encounter Location: 45633/22486 Typhon's Reach
- Soranal Soulcrusher
The Malice Axe is an Artifact that drops off the named Minotaur in Typhon's Reach. Nov 9
Deep within Typhoon's Reach, you'll notice several pedestals throughout the zone. The fastest way to get to Malice is by taking the North bridge, and continue moving on.
You'll be passing "Ring of Fire" artifact, and once you get to Malice...you'll see tons of gold, with stone all around it. - Asakura Yoh
We got a full grp togather to do the Malice Axe Encounter which included:2 druids2 wardens2 enchanters1 ranger1 hero
Picture of Battle
we had the hero hold aggro while the rest ran coins. we found it a Lot easier to do this by filling up the chest labled deciple *they seem'd to heal malice cause his energy didnt drop much till we got the deciple box filled* filling the deciple chest gets rid of the deciples also we noticed that if someone does get killed a snake emerges from the slain body and aggro's *yellow/oj* which makes it a pain though they die fairly easily. but by filling the deciples chest first by the time we finished the weakening chest our tank had already taken malice down 1/4 of his life. also the pbaoe that the chanters used didnt seem to hurt him. the whole encounter took us arround 30 min total. Tips:
Be careful on mordred when doing the Malice Encounter, evidently anyone can pick it up after the mob dies, even level 9 spy bots with saftey flags. Sep 23 2004

Done with 3 people:
light menty w/ buffed salamander
druid (buffbot)
ranger (could be any class...they just have to run tokens)
its pretty easy...salamander takes aggro of malamis, ranger runs tokens (ranger can be replaced with any other class), druid uses small heals. takes about 30-45 mins but after its all said and done, you will have malice axe. Powerfields help with this too. reminder, both chests have to be filled or malamis's health will stop at a certain % regardless of how much damage you do. Mar 31 2004

Ok this is bout the easiest way my group did Malice. We tried the other tips that was given and well we kept diein lol so i just ran around the mob while another was teasing it gettin its attention, and all the while me and some others ran gettin coins till both chests were gone no one had to engage Malamis hehe so anyways after both chests were gone me 50 thane a 50 warrior 50 skald killed malamis i think it took us 25mins to kill him lol so there was 7 of us besides the others i have mentioned was a 50 mend healer 50 pac healer and lower lvl pbt runnie not 50 but had 8 sec pbt and course we had a shaman for end. We just did the Malice's Axe encounter with 7 people. We followed the strategy where you use Engage on the main mob and have the others collect the coins. We had the following people:
- Shield Champ (50)
- Warden (50)
- Blademaster (50)
- Druid (50)
- Bard (50)
- Bard (39)
- Mentalist (43)
We always had the mentalist and two healers on the shield champ and everyone else running coins. The healers would swap out when they needed it. Also some had power potions and MCL. It took us 2 hours to do this encounter because it takes forever to beat Malamis down with only two tanks and a warden. But we got it done. Jan 22
