About the Deth Guild User Interface:
When Trials of Atlantis first launched, there were a deluge of new DAoC interfaces hitting the internet. Everybody had their own take - summery windows, maps, healer's cubes, custom graphics, you name it. Early on, I found a UI by Arwin at http://www.daocmods.com, with a VERY nice summery window, which combined most of the key features that I used in Realm v.s. Realm combat.

For it's time, it was perfect, maximizing utility and visibility. But, as the game evolved, the user interface became outdated, and Mythic added dozens of new features that have greatly expanded the power of the XML interface. So, I pulled out the old dinosaur, and with the help of Sepolevne, tuned UI up, fixing windows that had become broken, features that had never worked, and added a boatload of my own material. The result? The behemoth you see before you. Enjoy.

Getting Started:

Once you have downloaded the Deth Guild user interface, there are a few things you need to follow to before you can get it running:

Step 1: Open the Dark Age Of Camelot folder that contains whatever version of DAoC you are currently playing. There is a folder located here Called "ui." Open that folder as well. In it should be several more sub-folders, with names like atlantis, midgard, albion, classic, isles, and so forth.

Step 2: Create a folder in the "ui" directory titled "Custom." If this folder already exists, open this directory, and move all of it's contents into a different folder. The "Custom" folder needs to be empty.

Step 3: Decompress the dethguildui.zip file and place it on your desktop.

Step 4: Cut and paste the contents of the "Custom" directory in the "dethguildui" folder on your desktop into the "Custom" directory you just created or cleaned out on your hard drive in UI folder on your Hard Disk.

Step 5: Launch Dark age of Camelot: Trials of Atlantis. Select "no thank you" for a character type, so you can adjust your game options.

Step 6: Once you have loaded the character select screen, choose the options window. Set the Interface type to "Custom." Accept these change.

Step 7: Press the "PLAY" button to enter the game environment. You will need to adjust the positions of your new windows when you log in.

Features:

Below are listed the features and enhancements made to your Dark Age of Camelot: Trials of Atlantis user interface when you install this XML package.

Summary & Mini-Group Windows:
The summary window is the heart of this mod. It's purpose is to combine as much information as possible into a small area, while still maintaining readability. As you can see, the summary designed by Arwin is perfect for realm v.s. realm combat, as it meets both of these needs. Bubble progression bars track experience, master level advancement, and realm point progression.

The mini-group window attaches perfectly to this summary window, displaying group status, and has all of the functionality of the standard user interface group window. Displayed below the mini group window are hit points, weapon skill, and armor factor caps, for fast reference in the heat of combat.

Armor Vulnerabilities Table:
Located on the "Information Tab" is a compiled listing of the armor vulnerabilities for all three realms. This window is also located in the "Quiver" tab, allowing archers to quickly reference the information, and choose the most appropriate arrow type. Like the other large windows, the Armor Vulnerability Table can be set to semi transparent to minimize it's impact on your field of vision.

Note: I will be expanding this table with armor magical vulnerabilities eventually. I am waiting for the proposed changed to the armor spell weakness table in Dark Age of Camelot: New Frontiers before I add this information. Note that armor only suffers a penalty or gains a bonus against "targeted magical attacks" such as bolts or elemental damage weapons.

Healer's Cube:
A Healer's Cube is a utility designed to assist healing classes in quickly mending wounds and removing status anomalies from their group mates. The Healer's Cube displays the name, life, endurance, power, and any status anomalies group members are suffering from, in a way that is easy to read and track. Each square on the cube corresponds to a group member. Clicking anywhere in that square will select that group member, making it a very easy way to both monitor remaining life, and quickly respond with heals - no more squinting at the tiny mini group window - healing with a Healer's Cube is both fast and forgiving. Close at hand are sprint, concentration, and face buttons, some of the most commonly used commands by healing classes. The user can set the transparency of the healer's helper to 100% for a free-floating grid of status bars - thus minimizing visual encroachment.

Realm Ranks and Realm Titles Table:

Included in this user interface is a realm rank window, displaying the realm points needed to reach the next realm rank. Additionally, this table provides each realm's rank emblem and title - for quick identification on the field. Like the other large windows, the Realm Rank Window's transparency can be adjusted.

Enhanced Item Information Window:
All items now have the repair, salvage, craft, and delve buttons built into them. No more longer will you have to rely on shift + commands to examine, salvage, repair or craft your items. Additionally, the objects important status information has been highlighted, to expedite checking quality, bonus, durability, and condition. The UI additionally supports the new /use system for magical items that displays their powers below the item information window for use as a hotbar icon.

Information & Combat Command Tabs:
The information tab contains an index of useful information, in a low profile tab, for the professional realm v.s. realm player, (for who visibility is at a premium). The tab allows you to access most of the custom information windows found in this user interface, including the Armor Vulnerabilities Table, Realm Rank charts, Realm War Map, Social Window, In-game Mapping System, Relic Status, and finally, your Realm's Keep Information. Also included with the information tab is your important character information - Quest Journal, Master Level, Friends, and Bonuses windows.

The combat command tab is designed to keep the most important combat related tools at your fingertips. You can toggle combat mode, face, sprint, and stick targets with the top buttons. The next three buttons open important combat related windows - Group Buffs, Pet Command Window, and the Quiver. The final button allows you to invite people without opening the group window.

Alternate Mini-Group Tab & Interface Access Buttons:
Designed as an alternate, yet expanded mini group window for classes that prefer a their window more closely resembling the classic interface. The Mini Group II Window offers an alternative to the minimized version attached to the summary window. Each group member has a large targetable area to minimize miss-clicking, and the interface users HP, Power, Endurance, and target are all displayed to better keep these in their line of sight during hectic combat situations.

The various mini window tabs have been consolidated to the combat window on your character sheet. No more flipping from tab to tab looking for your quiver, pet, or the command tab. Also included here is the UI version number.

Custom Icons:
Combining the best of the old and new, the Deth Guild Icon Pack took the classic mythic spells/style icons, cleaned them up for consistency, and coupled them with the beautiful new images Mythic created for equipment and weapons, merging eye-candy with functionality. Enjoy the new mythic artwork for gear, while not having to relearn how to play your character.

Break Away Chat Windows:
The Deth UI fully supports the new break-away chat windows - allowing the user to create as many as ten floating windows, which can be configured to chat or combat text.

Floating Windows

The floating window allow you to open a free floating target, hit point, power, and endurance bars. These will let's the user to keep important windows in their line of sight as their eyes track around the screen.
