Warlock Spell Listings:

Below is a catalog of the Warlock spell listings. The Warlock is a singularly unique caster, in as much as it not only possesses some of the most powerful spell delves in Dark Age of Camelot, but also, an astonishing ammount of utility - especially in the Hexing Specline, where, the Warlock enjoys everything from Spread healing spells to PBAoE damage - the latter of which, has thus far been unheardof on all but primary healing classes (Clerics, Healers, Druids). The only major spell damage types NOT aviable to a Warlock are Ranged AoE, GTAoE (Ground Targeted Area of Effect), and CAoE (Cone Area of Effect).

As a player very much interested in the overall game balance of Dark Age of Camelot, it greatly concerns me, when a caster with this level of utility, is able to enjoy some of the highest delving magical damage in the entire game. In my opinion, high utility specilizations should come at the cost of focused damage - but the Warlock, especially if he invests heavily in his Hexing Specline, gets both monsterous utility, and incredible damage. When a class is able to achive such a high level of potentcy WHILE enjoying massive utility, in my mind, creates a great many problems in terms of game balance - especially when comparessons are drawn between the "utility" and "primary damage" speclines of other cloth wearing casters.

Baseline Curse Spells:
These spells are granted free to the Warlock upon reaching the listed character level. Baseline cursing spells may be cast at any time.

Absorbtion Buff:
Adds to the target's absorption (ABS) factor, resulting in better protection against melee attacks.

Shield (AF)
Adds to the recipient's Armor Factor (AF), resulting in better protection against some forms of attack. It acts in addition to any armor the target is wearing.

Bladeturn
A "bubble" that absorbs the damage of a single melee hit. Assassin critical strikes and attacks by very high level creatures will ignore a bladeturn bubble.

These spells are granted to the Warlock for spending specilization points in the Cursing specline. These spells cannot be cast directly - they must be cast following either a Witchcraft Specline Primer, or a Cursing Primary Spell.
