This is a team map. You and your partner start close together, and must co-defend the same piece of real-estate. Expand far and wide as fast as you can manage on this map. Try to save your starting cash in case several of your expansions get nailed. Try to coordinate your attacks with a partner, hitting from two sides, and likewise, try to defend together. Watch for nukes, or use teamed spell castors to waist fleets. |

All Things Being Equal - 2000
|
Tips for this Map:
|
This map is all about posturing and a great air force. Cash is not unlimited so it will require you to get off your ass and expand. 3 Lucky foolz will net the middle expansion and be in cash heaven for a while. Notice how each island is vulnerable to nukes, so they remain a viable solution to your woes. Missile turrents and photon cannons are very effective from these island vantage points.

The Hunters: Deth Remix - 1999
|
Tips for this Map:
|
Again, this is a play off the popular "Hunters" series from blizzard. Their is more cash than in the official hunters map, but, nowhere near the insanity of BGH. The bases are easy to defend, so people will have plenty of time to tech their hearts out. The largest concern will probably be real-estate, especially for the space hungry terrans. Expansions are critical, and those who turtle will loose in the end. Terrans are good for quick tanks hits early on, be careful a protoss does NOT get a second race.... |

Tips for this Map:

I have never been a real fan of money maps, but this is an interesting variant of the "classic" (rrrretch) BGH theme. Think of it as a cross between BGH and Lost Temple. The start locations are raised and ramped, making direct ground assaults REALLY hard to pull off, especially against protoss or terrans. Try to grab the middle if you can, the person who fields the most cash will win in this war, so get a large fleet and use it to open a hole in the ramp choke of an opponent. THEN nail them with your land based troops. |

When playing Deth Base Alpha from the red position, you want to use your early tech advantage to decimate their expansions. Now take them over and defend them so you have an economy capable of supporting the army you're capable of building. While your are at it, Kill New Gettysburg, the first one there "gets" the units, and you don't want to fight a a person with 2 races. Try building a few new star ports at home, lest you get out-produced. In melee mode, keep mobile and guard the two chokes in and out of your base. |

Deth Base Alpha: Interior - 1999
|
Tips for this Map:
|
The tips vary, depending on whether you are the defender or the aggressor. The aggressor VASTLY out numbers the defender, but the defender has the home court advantage. There are limited units, so it becomes a nasty fight of who has the best micro management skills. If the aggressor looses all his units, it is game over. If the defender's leader dies, he looses. Remember to repair damaged units with scvs, every unit needs to count, and terrans repair fast. Use map settings required for this map. |

Remember to use your early tech advantage to buy upgrades. You're in the middle, so long term defense will be problematic, don't even try. On the bright side, the base is totally impervious to nukes/tanks, so ignore the terrans. Stay aggressive and try to wipe out whoever you can at the beginning. Be cautious of drops or heavy air attackers. You will want to expand into the burning wreckage of one of your opponent's bases as fast as possible, as your own minerals are very limited. |

Tips for this Map:

Considering your map position, you should be able to last here a long time. An enemy will have a difficult time with any kind of land offensive against your base. The tight nature of the air defenses will annihilate drops, but be cautious of heavy air attackers who could overwhelm or attack from out of range. As with all of these "base" maps, your have rich veins, but their are few of them, so expand fast or die. Pay particular attention to the terrain, you can use it to molest other races with siege tanks. |

Tips for this Map:

While your tech may be SUPERIORITY protected, (barring a major guardian hit or corsairs), you must not loose your land foothold or you will loose in the end. You need the cash on the mainland to survive. The unlimited veins on the island are cool, but again, there are too few of them, and you will be overpowered eventually if you are run off the continent. Try to get a good tank push going, with m&m backup. If things last beyond that, tech to nukes and get some Goliath's too. |

This is a great air map for an air power player. It starts with plenty of starports, so use the build up time to get a powerhouse fleet. Use your starting forces to smack down an opponent or two, but keep rebuilding. You may want to build a few more starports if you are interested in building battlecruisers. Keep your fleet strong to repel any ground hits, or better yet, build a few Goliath's and ghosts for home defense. Another alternative is to build a massive defensive fleet and then attack with nukes.... |

Tips for this Map:

Build several barracks and machine centers outside your base, and use the enemies high positions against them. Lift off buildings and float them until you get a few air units to spot for you. Try to start blasting their geyser as fast as possible, keeping them pinned down. Expand in their expansions, and get rich, especially if they are unable to get off their ledges. They will have to turtle way up there, which will allow you to nuke at your leisure. |
